On Saturday, I will be attending my 15th Heritage Golf Tournament. It is considered throughout the PGA, as very relaxed tournament. Not the grueling competition from the previous week's Masters at Augusta National. This tournament is a player's favorite, they bring their families to enjoy the hospitality of the South Carolina LowCountry. The natives refer to this event as the 'Biggest Cocktail Party in South Carolina.'
It is a treat to see the greats and the up and coming stars, fortunately, I have been able to see Greg Norman, John Daly, Vijay Singh and Davis Love III play over my tenure at the tournament.
The tournament calls me to return every year, enjoying it with close friends. It is awesome to watch the players walk down number 18 with the lighthouse in the background and local boaters on Calibogue Sound, as try to catch a glimpse of the golfers finishing their days work. You know there is a winner when the boat's horns wail across the water between Hilton Head and Daufuskie Islands. This tournament is one of the great treasures of the LowCountry.
For those who are unable to attend, I will attach a link to the leader board. Just cut and paste.
