Chatham Artillery Punch is a Savannah Favorite. This recipe I found in the Savannah Style Junior League Cookbook. If you would like to go out and have one, the Pirate House Restaurant has it on their beverage menu.
1 1b of green tea 6. 2 gallons of rum 11. 2 quarts of pineapple
2. 2 gallons of water 7. 1 gallon of brandy 12. 10 quarts of champagne
3. 3 dozen lemons, juiced 8. 1 gallon of dry gin
4. 5 lbs. of brown sugar 9. 1 gallon of rye whiskey
5. 2 gallons of catawba wine 10. 2 quarts of cherries
Soak tea overnight in 2 gallons of water. Mix tea with lemon juice, add brown sugar and the liquor. Let mix stand a week in a covered container.
To serve pour over a cake of ice, add cherries, pineapple and champagne. Enjoy!
